Nikola Marković is an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Utah. His research focuses on transportation systems, winter operations, transit optimization, and AI-enabled infrastructure assessment. He has led or co-led multiple projects sponsored by UDOT, USDOT, NSF, and industry partners, with contributions spanning data-driven winter safety analysis, paratransit optimization, and roadway asset management. Dr. Marković is also deeply committed to engineering education, integrating AI-generated instructional content and real-world case studies into his courses. He holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering and has published extensively in leading journals in transportation and operations research.
