Dr. Liu is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Utah. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for Computers, Environment and Urban Systems and Transportation Research Today. A licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Utah, Dr. Liu’s research focuses on smart and intelligent mobility, emphasizing data and AI applications in transportation. Her work spans shared mobility, public transit, managed lanes, large-scale transportation modeling and simulation, and GIS-based infrastructure asset management.
