Debasish Jana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University. His research focuses on AI-driven risk assessment and resilience planning for infrastructure systems exposed to hazards including wildfires, earthquakes, rainfall, and landslides. He develops tools integrating graph machine learning, generative modeling, remote sensing, and computer vision to improve hazard prediction and infrastructure management. His interdisciplinary work combines structural engineering, AI, and data fusion to support resilient infrastructure planning for vulnerable communities. During his Ph.D. at Rice University, he developed vision-based methods for structural health monitoring and real-time system identification under extreme events.
